Our Mission
The Walker County Youth Alliance exists to weave a community-wide net of trained, connected adults around the young people of Walker County, so that no teen struggles invisibly and no child is left unprotected.
Through education, gatekeeper training, and partnership with families, churches, and schools, we work to prevent youth suicide and exploitation and to connect every struggling young person to hope and help.
Awareness
We work tirelessly to break the silence surrounding teen suicide, fostering open conversations that empower our community to act with compassion and understanding.
Education
We provide evidence-based resources and workshops for parents, educators, and teens to equip them with the knowledge and tools to navigate mental health challenges.
Support
We offer a compassionate network of resources and direct assistance to those in crisis, ensuring that no young person is ever alone when they need help.
